Speaker 1:

Hey everybody. It's with a heavy heart that Jacob and I are sharing with you that on September 23rd our beloved Gloria Ginsburg passed away. She was kind enough to be our very first podcast guest on August 8th, so just about you know, five or six weeks before she passed, and it was about her own process of being diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer and the incredible piece that she had about knowing that she was going to die and she was. I brought up the idea to her granddaughter, who happens to be my friend, and I still can't believe. I'm still so grateful, jacob, like she came on our show and talked to us about her experience.

Speaker 2:

She had such, you know. I think, I said this maybe on the recording and I definitely think I said it to her, you know. When she knew she was getting closer to moving on, she invited us on to Zoom call with her friends and family.

Speaker 1:

Yes, I think it was her idea.

Speaker 2:

It was her idea that she wanted to see her friends and family on this big Zoom call and I just I'm so grateful that she called us on and to celebrate her life.

Speaker 1:

It was like this incredible.

Speaker 2:

I just totally feel like I absolutely fell in love with her on the recording and I to I don't know how to say this, but I think a lot of people like automatically step away from people who are on their transition out of this realm of existence because I think there's a fear and that we reflect on our own. But her embracing this part of her life, this transition, it made me feel close to her and it really made me feel a lot of love towards her and gratitude and I am just so grateful to have met her and I know me too.

Speaker 1:

This is such a weird thing, but there's like a it's like she's always going to be an intimate part of our podcast, because Our own, even just bigger than that, because I think our podcast is such a big part of like our own, like my spiritual path and I think for you too, and she is like a part of she's just now woven into the path that tap. I look at it as like a tapestry and just like man.

Speaker 2:

She like passed a torch to us. I don't know, I don't know, but like there's no words that are going to really capture either our gratitude or appreciation, but we just wanted to Even the love. Yeah, we just wanted to let everyone know and you know she really was surrounded by her friends and family, and I know me personally like, please God, at the age of 120, as we say after her full life that I'll also be able to be surrounded by so many people who love me and feel like I'm peaking in my life as I get older.

Speaker 1:

And who, like you know, and just transition kind of peaceful, just peacefully, Yep.

Speaker 2:

So, as we, as we talked about in the episode you know, the Jewish people say may your memory be a blessing, may their memory be a blessing. You not so often get to say to an individual to their face, but her memory is certainly a blessing to me and I'm sure so many of our listeners. So if you haven't had a chance, go ahead and listen to our episode with Gloria Ginsburg, published on August 8th. You can go check it out.

Speaker 1:

Gloria everyone's grandmother.

Speaker 2:

Everyone's grandmother. So, as we say, you know, may we only meet at happy things and may we have so much life to celebrate as Gloria celebrated it.

Speaker 1:

And we hope that it inspires you and brings you joy, because it was. It can't not I'm just saying not spoiler alert, it can't not bring a smile to your face.

Speaker 2:

So Be well, everybody, yep, all the good news.
